CUB CHARTER RENEWED The charter for Pack 3 of the Tryon First Baptist Church was renewed this week. Alexander Beatson is Cubmaster, Beauford Barnette, assistant Cubmaster; R. C. Burnett, Institutional Repre sentative; Jack Layne, Fred Powell and R. B. Scruggs, Pack Com mittee with Jack Layne as chair man. ' Mrs. Beauford Barnette, Mrs. Florence McPhetridge and Mrs. Alexander Beatson III, Den Moth ers. There are 8 Cub Scouts in this Pack as follows * James Fish er, Alexander Beatson IV, Vincent Tharpe, Michael McGuinn, Jackie Layne, Dickie McPhetridge, Car roll Barnette and Kenneth Kirby. George Webster appears on Col. Safford’s Greenville TV program tonight at 7:15. CHRISTMAS SERVICE Good Shepherd Episcopal Mis sion. The Rev.'George B. D. .Day son, Priest-in-Charge. Christmas Day at. 12 noon, Celebration of the Holy Communion with Christ mas Carols. The Bulletin, $3.00 per year in the county; $4 per year elsewhere. TRYON THEATRE Matinee Thursday 3 P. M., will run continuous through to 11 P. M. There will be a matinee Christmas Day, 3 J\ M. and night 7 and 9 P. M. George Haskell Brown has ac cepted a position with the Fen way Hotel at Dunedin, Fla., ef fective January 7th. Miss Peggy Harris of Montreat School is hqme for the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. It. R. Harris, in Tryon. Mrs. Allison Martin and daugh ter, Pam of Columbia, S. C., are arriving Wednesday for the holi days with Mrs. Harriet Martin and Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Reakirt. Mr. Martin will join them later. A. G.
